It’s not easy to judge projects. Every project is different and must be judged on its own merits. Some projects are straightforward, while others are demanding. This chapter asks that students be the judge by carefully reading the actual accounts of two science projects featured in the chapter. As they are discussed, students make a list of the qualities a good project should have. The Appendix (page 67) shares “Science Fair Project Judging Criteria” often used by judges which should be useful.
