Measurement

Because measurements are an important part of inquiry-based science, teachers need to teach measurement skills to their students. Doing so requires a basic understanding of measurement theory and must take into consideration students’ levels of development and past experiences. In this chapter, the authors begin by looking at the basics of measurement in science.
