Student-Authored Book Reviews

by: Bonnie S. Wood
edited by: Thomas R. Lord, Donald P. French, and Linda W. Crow

In every science course the author teaches, students choose and read a book available in the campus library and submit a review at the end of the course. The student's review outlines the appropriateness of this book for someone taking the course in which they are enrolled. The author provides a separate book list which comprises books that relate to the specific topics in that course. A sample Book Review Grading Criteria for General Biology I is provided in this chapter.
