This organization came into existence in 1991. This article provides an overview of an organization designed to support the middle school science teacher of which this writer was one for over 15 years. Through the years many project were created by this group with the help of companies to further the understanding of science in our lives. One such project was called “Hands On Plastic.” This group supports share-a-tons at national conferences and does a great deal more for middle school teachers.
