The 5E lesson outline is a great planning tool to use because you begin with the end in mind, this allows you to create a lesson that matches the whole way through with what you want your students' outcomes to be. Each E of the 5 E's provides something different for the students. The 5E model is also created for students to have a lot of collaboration throughout the lesson. The 5E lesson can be used for a single lesson in science and it can also be used for a whole unit in science.
