Implementing STEM in the classroom is critical, however it can be overwhelming to think about ways to get started. This article offers a concise resource to get started. Creating bins that contain materials for various activities make it much easier to get started. Using this as a guide will make it easy for any teacher to begin teaching STEM.

This article over preservice teachers learning how to make STEM kits for their classrooms was very interesting to read. I liked how it gave little tips on how lesson kits for STEM can be modified for each grade level, such as what materials a student uses since that is dependent on their developmental growth. As this article says, STEM is important to have in the classrooms now, but teachers are unsure how to go about it since they lack familiarity with it. Having the preservice teachers go over an already made kit and make their own STEM kits helped them to look through both the student's and teacher's eyes. This helped to figure out what worked and what did not work. The article also shows that STEM can be related to students' interest, such as the movie Frozen and making a STEM activity around that. I think that this article is a good confidence builder for teachers who are not confident in their abilities to integrate STEM in their classrooms. It shows just how easy it can be. Since it was easy to understand and had all those helpful tips, I gave it five stars.
