You are encouraged to submit your article proposals online at http://msrs.nsta.org for the following 2004 theme issues:

Science & Children article submission deadlines are Nov. 1 for the March 2004 issue, focusing on “Force and Motion”; Dec. 1 for the April 2004 issue on “Project-Based Learning”; and Jan. 3, 2004, for the May issue on “Weather.”

Science Scope deadlines are Nov. 1 for the March 2004 issue, themed “All About Me” and featuring articles about the human body, diseases/conditions, and other topics, that will engage the middle school student as a focal point; Dec. 1 for the April 2004 on issue “Integrating Science with Other Subject Areas,” focusing on interdisciplinary units… and inviting special emphasis on art; and Jan. 3, 2004, for the May issue on “End the Year with Science Fun,” using graphics, drawings, cartoons, games, songs, poems, humor, and toys that teach. The editors also extend a special request for manuscripts on “assessment strategies—aligned with inquiry instruction, yet capable of improving standardized test scores.”

The Science Teacher lists Dec. 1 as the deadline for the April 2004 issue which will emphasize “Assessing Inquiry Effectively”, and Jan. 3, 2004, for articles for the May issue, featuring the theme “Teacher/Student/Community Successes.”
