Newly introduced bipartisan legislation based on the National Academy of Science Rising Above the Gathering Storm report introduced in the Senate last week includes a number of key initiatives that could vastly change science and math education; and the new director for the National Science Foundation Education and Human Resources Directorate will begin in early 2007.
