Week Examines State Progress of NCLB
10 edition of Education Week magazine looks at the progress
states have made toward meeting the testing and reporting mandates
of No Child Left Behind. Although the annual state policy survey
for the newspaper’s Quality Counts report (to be released
in January) found that every state and the District of Columbia
now will rate schools based on “adequate yearly progress,” it has
found far less progress in other areas such as the number of states
testing in the required grades. For the complete story, go to http://rdr.sbml.cc/Click?q=45-fNmJIKBR8VbgZak-EK7d0T2m.
