• NASA/Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium Summer Workshop: Planet, Star, or Neither? Pluto, Brown Dwarfs, and Exoplanets
  July 15–20
  Discover why our understanding of the word "planet" changed in 2006. Examine imagery from orbit and the ground on Mars to understand its history and likely past as a wet world. Investigate the conditions in the Outer Solar System, and see the liquid lakes on Titan, the new Red Spot on Jupiter, and Saturn's new blue tinge. Debate the classification of Pluto and why it is now a dwarf planet. Consider how planets form and what determines whether a planet capable of bearing life may exist around a star.
