The Fin Art of Science

March 2001

Students develop science process skills through an interdisciplinary science and art activity of making Japanese fish prints. Using real fish to make prints is tactile; students of all ages can explore how fish feel, how fish scales are arranged, and what adaptations are found in different species. Various assessments and ideas for extensions are included.
