Call for Papers
The Science Teacher (TST) journal is seeking manuscripts that reflect current research and national standards-based practices and represent new and creative ideas for the secondary classroom. TST is also interested in receiving manuscripts for peer review on the following topic:
Student/Teacher/Community Successes
Teachers are encouraged to submit manuscripts about successful collaborative
projects between science classes and the community to The Science Teacher.
If you and your students work together as a scientific team to affect your
environment, improve the scientific literacy of your local community, do field
research during the summer break, or otherwise work to improve your community
as collaborative scientists, consider submitting a manuscript for possible publication
in our special issue Student/Teacher/Community Successes.
Manuscripts should describe the project, its results, and the way in which students and the teacher worked with the community. Manuscripts should also describe the impact on your community or environment as a result of the students efforts. The manuscript must be written by the teacher as author. Manuscripts must be limited to 1,000 words and should include one or two photos, slides, or pieces of original artwork showing students and teachers working together. The deadline for submission is January 1, 2004.
